Please help with identification

Rick

Hi,
I recently purchased this set from a second hand store, mostly because I've always liked Cobalt blue. I especially like the way the floral design pops against the color. In researching the history of these I found references to Murano, and that these may be hand blown from the 50's. Then I found your site and this form. I'm wondering if there is any information you could give that pertains to the history, the maker and value of the set. Thank you in advance.

The decanter, without the stopper measures 12" tall and 5" wide at the belly. The goblets measure 3" tall x 2 1/2" wide. The only identifying mark I could see is a "D" painted in gold on the bottom of the decanter. They are cobalt blue with what appears to be brushed gold and hand painted flowers that stand off the pieces instead of flat paintings.

OMG Team Answer:

Yes this is a famouse glass artworks made in Murano, the name is Trefuochi technique.

First the glass masters blow the glass and the craft men paint it with gold decoration.

For the age it is not possible from photos to identify it how old.

Artworks can value 1000$ and more.
