In 1993, when on my honeymoon to Venice, took a boat to Murano and had a private tour and bought at the gallery this crystal wine decanter. Don't remember how much we paid, but it was high enough whereby we have been very careful with the decanter. The crystal is in perfect condition without any chips or cracks. The gold leafing at one end has some slight wear to it.

Almost for sure this is not a Murano glass original artwork, but more sure it a Vetro di Boemia cristallo di Boemia, made in region est europe and in some factory in Italy around Florance.
It is anyway a nice decanter, but we can not help you with the value and more information.
I'm sorry if you thouth to have a Murano glass artwork. It is a pitty that it was sold to you a fake.
